Winter Parking

Overnight Winter Parking on Village Streets
Parking shall be prohibited on village streets between the hours of 2:00 am and 6:00 am December 1st through April 1st

If any resident or business owner has a vehicle which for mechanical or other bona fide reasons is left on the street during these dates and hours, they should notify the Genoa City Police Department at (262) 279-6252 and provide the make and license plate of such vehicle, as well as when it should be removed. If there is a significant amount of snowfall and the streets need to be plowed, such vehicle MUST be removed.


265-10 Stopping or Parking Prohibited in certain places

No person shall stop, park or leave standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended and whether temporarily or otherwise, in any of the following places:

A. Within an intersection.

B. On a crosswalk.

C. On a sidewalk or sidewalk area, except when parking in such place is clearly indicated by official traffic signs or markers, or parking meters.
